How to pray for Christ School

Back to CSB Home
Christ School has been built and sustained through the prayers of its supporters. We cannot succeed without your continued prayers. Here are some specific areas you can pray for:
  1. Leadership transition. As some key leaders move onto other ministries or leave temporarily to pursue further education, new leaders are moving up to replace them.
  2. Impact of the Good News on the staff and students. Many of the students and some of the staff are very young in their faith. A number of students are actually Muslim. We want to see everyone here showing clear evidence of the transforming power of the Good News.
  3. More female staff members. CSB places a huge emphasis on attracting, retaining, and empowering female students. Unfortunately, thus far the school has been unable to attract a number of female teachers commensurate with the number of female students.
  4. Increase in the use of English. Although there are relatively few native English speakers in Uganda, English is Uganda’s national language and is the language of the entire education system. The use of English is mandatory at CSB, but many students (and staff) continue to speak their various tribal languages outside class. This practice is difficult to eradicate and contributes to disunity and also deprives students and staff of much-needed practice in English.
